Senior Team

Lindsey Muir

CEO

Lindsey has worked in Urathon for five and a half years, bringing a grounding of twenty+ years as a management consultant with specialties in management and systems development. Lindsey is responsible for day to day running of the business and regularly travels to China to visit our suppliers plus our assembly plant and logistics operation. With any free time, Lindsey enjoys gardening and also has a small flock of fancy chickens.

Ian Batchelor

Sales Director

Ian has worked for Urathon for twenty-eight years. Ian was responsible for launching Urathon Flat Free Tyres for wheelchairs to the wheelchair industry worldwide. Ian works with a diverse range of clients worldwide and continues to focus on building Urathon’s reputation as one of the most influential brand manufacturing companies in the Healthcare industry. Ian lives with his wife and son and when not working he can be found in the Gym.

Accounts Finance

Lucy Carson

Head of Finance

Lucy joined Urathon in 2023. With over 20 years accounting experience of working in various industries and part-qualified CIMA Accountant, Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge and management accounting experience. Managing the UK Finance team, Lucy also oversees of the Accounts dep’t in China. In her spare time, Lucy & her husband, can often be found on the side of a football pitch cheering on their 2 football mad boys. She also loves open water swimming… all year round!

Jimmy Sinden

Assistant Accountant

Jimmy has been working for Urathon for over fifteen years. He initially started in Sales Processing which later developed into a Sales Analyst position. As the company expanded along with Jimmy’s own experience he grew his role further utilising his skills within the Accounts team. He has twice travelled to China to visit the factory and suppliers. Jimmy lives with his wife and two children. For leisure time, they enjoy going to the beach and getting some travelling in.

Rob Taylor

Financial Controller

Rob has been working as the Financial Controller for Urathon for eight years. Starting as an Assistant Accountant, he managed to work his way up within our Accounts team. Rob keeps a general oversite of the UK accounts for the company, including payroll, HR, VAT, stock control and reports for Management accounts. When he’s not at work, Rob enjoys spending his weekends with his family and has a passion for wildlife.

Administration

Paige Hanchant

Personal Assistant to the Directors, Office Manager and Sales Assistant

Paige joined Urathon in 2016 as a PA to the Directors and is responsible for the day-to-day admin of the Sales office. Her main roles include assisting Executive Chairman, Hugh Sims-Hilditch in account management and communications with customers and our Chinese factories. As office manager she keeps everyone else in line and happy! Paige enjoys painting and sings in a band. Along with her husband, our Purchasing Manager Grant, she’s renovating her home!

Engineering

Mike Ives

Head of Quality control

Mike has worked at Urathon for almost twenty years; his duties include overseeing Design & Production of new products, producing technical documents, along with Quality Control and dealing with any technical issues. Mike brings his experience as a trained toolmaker and knowledge of various metalworking machines & manufacturing practices as well as a grounding in design and production of safety systems. His interests include cooking and Formula 1. Mike also carries out time to perform charity work and likes to spend time with his grandchildren.

John Pasternak

Design Engineer

John has worked at Urathon for three years, he assists Mike Ives with design and production of new products. John has spent most of his working life as a multi skilled engineer in a wide range of high speed and heavy production environments. With an interest in photography, he also provides product photography and content for the website.

Purchasing & Logistics

Lawrence Weaver

Account & Supply Chain Manager

Lawrence Joined the company in September 2014 after working for the Armed Forces, where he gained a great deal of skills and experience as well as getting to travel the world. His varied duties include managing the supply chain, managing some customer accounts, sales analysis, and order processing. During his down time, Lawrence enjoys walking his dog (Jager), running , watching Ice Hockey and spending time with his Family.

Grant Marshall

Purchasing Manager & Account Manager

Grant started working at Urathon at the beginning of 2019 as a Sales Account Manager. His role includes building relationships with customers, ensuring their day-to-day needs are met and any queries answered promptly. Grant has since moved into a Purchasing role. Grant works closely with Hugh, Executive Chairman, and Ian, Sales Director. Grant is also Manchester United fan as well as a keen musician. He also recently bought his first home after marrying our very own Paige at the end of 2019.

Jason Curtis

Logistics Administration Assistant

Jason was brought into Urathon at the start of 2023 as a Logistics Administration Assistant. His Job is to Process sales order from Customers and keeping the customers up to date on their orders. He also keeps an up-to-date record of shipments being delivered to Urathon, He works closely with Grant and Lawrence in the Purchasing and Logistics department, helping when needed.  During His out of work hours, he enjoys spending time with his family, he also enjoys painting his collection of miniature models and displays them on his desk.

Warehouse

Andy Blake

Warehouse Manager

Andy joined Urathon in 2007 as a warehouse assistant, he progressed to assistant manager and then solely ran the warehouse for 9 years until January 2020 where the increasing expansion of the company required an assistant. His main roles are the despatching of goods, stock control, unloading of containers and a point of contact for all our and our customers shipping needs. Outside of work, Andy plays lawn bowls and has received a number of caps for Wiltshire, and in 2019, along with his team mates at Royal Wootton Bassett won a national title at the annual national championships at Royal Leamington Spa.

Darren Reeves

Warehouse Assistant

Darren joined as Warehouse Assistant in 2020 and brings a diverse skill set and a decade of warehouse experience to his role at Urathon. Alongside his qualifications as a kitchen and bathroom fitter and Part P certified in electrics, Darren is also trained as a first aider and fire marshal, ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace. Outside of work, Darren enjoys golf, football, and motorcycle adventures, drawing from his passion for sports and exploration. With a loving family including two children, three stepchildren, and two grandchildren, Darren finds fulfilment in both professional and personal pursuits, embodying dedication, and warmth in all endeavours.

Craig Bilby

Warehouse Assistant

Craig joined Urathon in January 2024 as a Warehouse assistant looking for a fresh challenge after 17 years working for his previous employer where he gained various skills including management experience. His main roles include dispatching of goods, stock control, Unloading of containers, operating forklift trucks and general organisation and housekeeping of the warehouses. Craig is one the multiple Manchester United fans at Urathon and also is a big boxing fan too. Outside of work Craig likes to spend as much time as possible with his daughter and also enjoys going out socialising with friends.
